Meet Jeff Hegstrom, Director of Relevant Ministry

"Since Hurricane Katrina many churches along the Gulf Coast have been just surviving.

Not only have these churches been trying to reach out and meet the needs of those that are hurting in their community, but they have also been trying to rebuild the remnants of their own congregations that were left behind from this life altering storm."

God has called Jeff, Angie and their three boys to the Gulf Coast and He has opened the doors for them to be a part of RM. Jeff has 18 years of ministry experience. He spent 12 years in Student Ministry; and for six years, Jeff had been the lead pastor of a church plant, Crosspoint Community Church, in Eureka, IL. Jeff brings many qualities to this role at Relevant Ministry as a pastor, teacher, worship leader, and builder of ministries and people.

As the Director of RM, Jeff's focus is on partnering with pastors, leaders and staff of local churches and ministries who have been impacted by the affects of Hurricane Katrina. Jeff is coordinating working relationships between churches and ministries along the Gulf Coast with interns that have a spiritual gifting to meet ministry needs in practical and relevant ways. Jeff also works closely with the interns by providing spiritual mentoring and practical, biblical training.

We are excited about all that God has in store for Jeff and Angie through RM… as well as the lives that will be touched by their service along the Gulf Coast.
