Such is the excitement we on the board of Relevant Ministry are sensing. The ministry is moving. We would encourage as many of you to join us in prayer and support to initiate this ministry to those hurting in the Katrina ravaged areas of our country.
This is a timely ministry born in the midst of disaster and need. It seems the Lord is always moving in the hearts of the broken. 'God's hand is on me...' If you are there, then you are walking where the Spirit of the Lord is sweet. Oh, that we could be in such union with the Lord at all times. This is the very context of Relevant Ministry; for such an hour as this, we were born."
Meet our board...
J. D. Landis:
J.D. graduated from the University
of Mobile with a B.A. Degree in Religion.
J.D. is a pastor and church planter. His ongoing passion has been to serve the Lord wholeheartedly and to serve the communities in which he lives. J.D. has demonstrated the love and grace of God for over forty years as he has served as a pastor and overseer of churches and a church conference.
J.D.’s desire is to serve the Lord as Peter stated in I Peter 4:10 – “Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given you, as faithful dispensers of the wonderfully varied grace of God.” J.D.’s heart is to be a fellow worker in God’s field planting, watering, and knowing that it is God that causes His Kingdom to grow.
J.D. brings networking, a sense of community, and leadership to the Board. J.D. lives and pastors in the Mobile, Alabama area. J.D. and his wife Mary K. have three sons and nine grandchildren.
